What's to get excited about!

After the huge success of our first summer in north-west France in 2025, we are delighted to announce that we will be returning to Brittany for more sunshine and fun.

We will again be based in the small, beautiful central village of Mellionnec, where we’ll be staying in a large gite named A La Belle Etoile (The Beautiful Star). The gite which was renovated in 2022 was formerly an old presbytery but is now a modern, spacious auberge, situated in this small, alternative and progressive community.

Given the beautiful surroundings we’ll find ourselves in, we’ll be out and about aplenty, with this holiday jam-packed with activities! We’ve designed an itinerary which allows us to witness the lovely, green summer landscape of Brittany in a variety of ways. We will be kayaking on the nearby Lake Guerlédan, and biking on a simple path around the same stretch of water alongside the lake - we have mountain bikes, tricycles and even tandems to aid everyone to enjoy this leisurely activity.

And seeing as this is an adventure holiday, how about a spot of climbing? We’ll be strapping ourselves in for some wall climbing as well as visiting the nearby ‘Go Ape’ outdoor activity centre which were both huge hits last year. Another highlight was the archery afternoon, and once again we’ll be getting expert training and taking aim at this superb facility.

After listening to our guests’ suggestions, new for 2026, we’ll be saddling up and enjoying a spot of horse riding. We have secured a wonderful experience at near by Saint-Brieuc on the Brittany coast, which we just know everyone will love.

Where you'll be staying...

In the heart of Brittany is the village of Mellionnec. In the centre of this village is an auberge. This is where we will be based, in the auberge À la belle étoile, a recently renovated accommodation. It has been designed to accommodate all types of people, including summer groups like ours.

Food, glorious food!

All of our food will be lovingly prepared and cooked by our wonderful chef, Helen.

What you'll experience...

We will meet at a London airport and you will be supported on the flight to Rennes Airport in France. Our mini-buses will take you on the 1 hour 45-minute drive to the auberge.

Ininerary

Day 1 – Travel from London to Brittany, travel to our accommodation via mini bus, settle in.

Day 2 – Kayaking

Day 3 – Climbing

Day 4 – Archery

Day 5 – Rest Day.

Day 6 – Horse Riding

Day 7 – Go Ape

Day 8 – Drive back to Rennes Airport for flight back to London.
