Trekking in the Cotswolds is a mix of open meadow, track, woodland, river bank and country lane walking in a region of rural England that is world-renowned and perhaps with equal in its naturally undulating landscapes, it’s flora and fauna, big-sky vistas, historic heritage, pretty towns and villages. It’s friendly folk, fine foods and wondrous wildlife. Picture book perfect!

What's to get excited about!
Where you'll be staying...
We use a variety of accommodation on our routes, including small country house hotels, guest houses in market towns, bed and breakfasts in farm houses, country cottages and Victorian town houses.
In selecting our accommodation we always look for helpful, friendly hosts with good quality accommodation close to the trail.
Food, glorious food!
Breakfast and packed lunches provided by the hotel, evening meal or dinner will be at a nearby restaurant or pub restaurant (included in price).
All dietary requirements can be catered for.
What you'll experience...
Covering an area of almost 800 square miles – and running through five counties (Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Wiltshire and Worcestershire), one of the many pleasures of visiting the Cotswolds is that each area has its own identity. But there are two common features across the entire region are the honey-coloured stone buildings and rolling landscape… the ‘wolds’. Just wonderful and a draw to visitors from all over the world.
As with our Hadrian’s Wall Trek we will be teaming up with our friends at walking holiday specialists, Mickledore, for this ‘less physically demanding’ 59 mile Autumnal circular walk.
Meeting and collection point will be either in Bristol or Cheltenham. Where we will collect guest in our minibuses and travel to the first accommodation.
With our first and last steps of the trek in the beautiful Regency spa town of Cheltenham, over the following eight glorious days, we will be taking in the delights of England’s largest area of outstanding natural beauty. Visiting picturesque villages and vibrant market towns such as Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh and Winchcombe. We will stare in awe across breathtaking panoramic views, sample sections of the Cotswolds 3,000 miles of footpaths and bridleways and exploring wildlife meadows and ancient woodlands. And expect to experience historical sites and castles and, of course, no Go Beyond holiday would complete without encounters with the unique wildlife of the area!
Our easy-going, relaxing, ‘Trekking in the Cotswolds’ tour promises to be a veritable feast of quintessential and quaint rural England. Fabulous.
Accessibility and Inclusion
Inclusion is important to us so we strive, whenever possible, to make our holidays accessible to all. Unfortunately, due to the nature of this tour and accommodation restrictions, unfortunately our Trekking in the Cotswolds is not wheelchair accessible.
We can however refer you to our Great Dartmoor Adventure (16th – 23rd July 2021) and World Cuisine Week (23rd – 30th July 2021) which does offer wheelchair accessible accommodations.
If you wish to discuss your specific access requirement for any of our holidays, please contact us at your earliest convenience and we will do everything we can to welcome you to the Go Beyond Holidays experience.
