The Azores

Luxury and Intrigue on quiet Atlantic Island

17th - 24th March 2026

What's to get excited about!

Composed of nine volcanic islands, the Azores are located in the mid-north Atlantic, which gives this archipelago its all year-round mild climate. So, a spring visit could be just what you need to refresh yourself in this peaceful and beautiful island retreat.

We will spend time on the island by visiting one of its highlights, Sete Cidades, an ancient volcano crater that is now home to a set of magnificent blue lakes. We will also join a boat trip to observe the spectacular marine life, dolphins and sperm whales as well as many birds.

Although the capital Ponta Delgado, is the largest city on the island, it still has that small town feel with its ornate and impressive architecture. We’ll spend time exploring this beautiful city which boasts an array of shops, cafés as well as museums and old-world churches. Added to this we’ll be taking a swim in the natural hot springs of Caldeira Velha and visit the only tea plantation in Europe, The Gorreana Tea Factory.

Come and join us on this holiday we’re sure will be just your cup of tea!!

Where you'll be staying...

We will be staying on the main island of São Miguel, near the capital Ponta Delgada in a tranquil spa hotel, Senhora da Rosa. A restored old farmhouse, the hotel is perfectly nestled between the mountains and the sea, with its style that strikes a perfect balance between tradition, nature and elegance. Facilities include an indoor pool built in the old pineapple house, a spa and sauna, plush gardens and bedrooms decorated with modern, traditional furniture and decor.

Food, glorious food!

We will be fully catered for by the hotel’s restaurant, which caters for all dietary requirements including vegan and gluten free. The restaurant celebrates local flavours with authenticity and creativity, regional produce is highlighted in dishes that reinterpret Azorean tradition with a more contemporary twist, preserving the essence of the fish, meat, vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients that the Azores generously offer.
